Dave Gaw is the founder and president of Capra Media, guiding its vision and serving as its senior director and executive producer. Over the last decade, Dave has established himself as a creative storyteller that is comfortable and skilled in both the commercial and motion picture industries.
In the commercial arena, Dave has produced and directed spots, episodic projects and viral videos for the likes of Sanyo, Taco Bell, Hilton Hotels, and many others. For each, he has been able to gauge client and audience needs and develop creative content that can be leveraged across multi-dimensional campaigns – both online and offline.
Dave started Capra Media after serving as Director of Online Video at ClearChannel, where he developed and implemented online video campaigns for Burger King, McDonalds and many others. Prior to Clear Channel, Dave was a part of the original team that pioneered Hollywood Press TV, an entertainment news channel that quickly established themselves as red carpet regulars throughout LA and New York. Both outlets became a favorite interview of celebrities seeking visibility tied to authentic, creative conversations and was recently sold to REELZ Channel.
Dave is also an emerging, award-winning director of film. His mockumentary short, Try Hard, was honored for Best Comedy and Best Screenplay at the 168 Film Festival (Los Angeles), and he is currently developing this film into a feature-length project.
Having studied business and film in college, Dave has managed to weave his storytelling talents with his business savvy to create effective commercial and creative campaigns alike.
