Dan Fredman is a public relations expert with a passion for wine, food and music and a knack for becoming indispensable to clients, colleagues and media partners alike. With a background in wine sales, music production and entrepreneurship, Fredman brings a diverse array of skills to his career in public relations.
After founding his own public relations and marketing agency in 2004, Fredman began specializing in wine industry communications, developing deep relationships with influential critics, winemakers and journalists. He has since joined forces with McCue Marketing Communications to lend his wine industry and public relations expertise to the firm’s wine clients, as well as those in the real estate and travel sectors.
Fredman has served as the Chief Sommelier at the Hospice du Rhône and was honored as their “Person of the Year” in 2007. He is also involved in the organization of other events such as the World of Pinot Noir in Pismo Beach, CA; the International Pinot Noir Celebration in McMinnville, OR; and the LA WineFest in Los Angeles.
Fredman pursued an education in business at California State University, San Luis Obispo, and later studied the history and culture of wine at the prestigious Institute of Masters of Wine. He is co-founder of the LA-based wine tasting group known as the Wine Salon, which is effectively a think tank of some of the pivotal wine people in Los Angeles.
Dan Fredman is a tireless advocate for wine (served with food, of course) and he has been rumoured to have a bit of a lead-foot when it comes to fast cars. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Wayward Tendrils, a wine book collectors society.
