Ashley Colette
Driven by her passion for emerging technology and digital communications, Ashley is a “next-gen” public relations expert with her finger on the pulse of the tech world. Beginning her career at Boston-based Big Fish Communications, a marketing and PR firm specializing in start-ups, she quickly discovered the potential for leveraging Web-based tools and technologies to create big buzz and visibility.
Ashley’s experience spans technology, consumer products, healthcare, clean energy and lifestyle clients. As a driver of digital communications for global PR firms such as Porter Novelli (life sciences division), she has helped introduce new public relations tactics and develop client programs that meld the best of traditional PR with the latest in communications technology.
Ashley’s skilled execution of cross-platform public relations programs has helped clients exceed their business and marketing goals; prime examples include a launch campaign for a web-technology start-up that later sold for more than $17 million, and a clean-energy company whose public relations successes helped raise more than $100 million in venture capital.
Through her passion for new media, Ashley has developed relationships with some of the top names in social media and digital communications, including Brian Solis, Sean Percival, Tony Adam, and Silicon Alley bloggers, Michael Arrington and Pete Cashmore. She is active in the tech and emerging media communities, regularly attending conferences such as BlogWorld Expo, the Consumer Electronics Show, and the Online Marketing Summit.
Beyond the tech world, Ashley is a versatile public relations practitioner, supporting clients at trade shows, creating press materials, and developing valuable relationships with journalists and bloggers. She is a self-proclaimed tree-hugger, with a passion for green initiatives such as eco-conscious technology, eco-travel and clean energy.
Ashley holds a B.S. in Marketing Communications from Emerson College with a minor in Journalism. She would love to create a mobile application to help travelers find volunteer opportunities in South America or hidden eateries in France.
